We had a very full day today. Started off by driving out to Stonehenge. What an amazing site. We were also pleasantly surprised by the scenery. The highway was completely engulfed by huge trees at many points.
From there we drove to the village of Laycock, a small place with a beautiful abbey that scenes from Harry Potter were filmed. We enjoyed another pub lunch there before driving back to Bath. We needed to get back to Bath, otherwise we would have loved to wander down the streets a bit more.
After a quick stop in our apartment we walked about 20 minutes to down town to join a 2 hour historic walking tour of the city. The history and architecture is amazing. The tour guide was a retired teacher who was passionate about the city.
Stopped in at Morrison’s grocery store around the corner from our apartments for some supper pickings and then an early bedtime.
