Second day in Oxford

Another slower start to the day than we’d hoped for.  For some reason the 3 of us can’t sleep in the middle of the night. Connor doesn’t seem to have a problem.

we started off visiting two museums, the museum of natural history and Pitts Rivers Museum.  Pretty impressive.  We could have spent all day there and not seen everything.

From there, a quick stop at the library for Connor and Dave to see the Tolkien exhibit while Nic and I went to buy a t-shirt we saw in the window after closing hours yesterday.  Then off to the covered market which dated back to 1774.  We were a little disappointed in the market but did find a place to sit and have some pies and mash (even a gluten free option for me).

We tried to get up the church tower but the waiting line exceeded the closing time so Con and I made a stop at a used bookstore and Dave and Nic found what was raved as the best milkshakes ever.  They were disappointed.  To end the visit to Oxford, we headed back to the pub we started at yesterday where I introduced Connor to Pims.

Back to our great house for laundry duty, cleaning and packing up, and planning our drive tomorrow.
