After a sleep-in, we walked down to the city center to see the shopping area. Connor found the books he’s been looking for (a UK series he read when he was younger that has a few more in series), I found the tea I bought at Marks and Spencer when we were in Scotland two years ago that I loved (Empress of Earl Grey), and Nicole a sweater at Primark. The best part of the shopping area was the Shambles which is the street that Daigon Alley in Harry Potter was designed after. This is a picture I found on internet with no people in it. It was very crowded so our pictures don’t do it justice.
From there we had a lunch in a real Italian pizza place for a change from fried food. It was okay.
Next stop, the Chocolate Story. Chocolate is a big part of York’s history, and this is a museum that you learn about chocolate making, chocolate factories of York and get to taste some samples. The factory in York still makes between 2 and 5 million Kit Kats a day.
