Llandudno for the night

We spent the night at The Gwentsy Links hotel in Llandudno along the North Wales coast.  I’m so glad I found this place when researching the trip.

Llandudno was a resort vacation town established in the 1800s for the wealthy.  Our hotel was decorated with great artwork from the past that really made me want to be transported back in time.  The hotels along the waterway (ours was not) are huge, I can’t imagine how impressive they were then.  The pier is 2,200+ feet long filled with amusement park rides for kiddies, shopping and arcade games.  The beach has a paved boardwalk where there used to be dancing and live music daily.

We had to walk the pier and boardwalk so were awfully tired by the time we got back to the hotel.  Fortunately, there was a pub in the hotel.  Are you seeing a trend?  I was happy that this one had much healthier menu options.  We had a family suite room that was terrific(but we did need to wear earplugs to block out the seagulls).
